Hey, just checking in with you after the whole thing that happened today.

[ It's late into the night. North and South are rooming together tonight, and right now, both of them are heartily sawing logs. Theta had waited until this hour on purpose; he doesn't want their conversation to be interrupted by either of the agents. He'd tried connecting via a network connection but Delta seems to be isolated away from the main network, so instead he projects and speaks out loud. ]

Delta?

The silence in York's head is bothering him more than even the usual today. He goes for a walk around the rig, browses in the library for something he hasn't read yet, stops for a snack, but finds himself drifting back to the dorms -- and to the room South shares with North, just in case she's there.

He still doesn't quite know how to handle her in light of the revelation Delta gave him, but he wants to talk to his buddy. Maybe he'll just be a bit less antagonistic about it? His presence will probably annoy her even if he does acknowledge her presence.

When he reaches the room he sees that she is in fact there, sprawled on her bunk. He knocks at the doorframe.

"Hey South. Can I talk to D?"

Before what they know now, he would have just come in and sat down and started chatting with the AI. He might not seem to care about her presence right now but. Baby steps.

[ North and South don't always—or even often—sit together for meals here on the rig, but this morning North slides in at the table across from her when he arrives for breakfast.

Two things to note about this situation: for one thing, arriving after South means he's late. That and the secret way he's smiling. He looks like someone who's just gotten away with something— probably because he has. ]
