You want me to run tactical and logistical support?
[His tactical role with any current Legion Leader was more often advisement than running an op but he'd still led the occasional mission team, especially when he and several other Legionnaires were marooned for a time in the Second Galaxy. He could easily offer support from off the field to whoever was leading in the field.]
I do have some experience. And I can relay what I've learned about the rig's systems to any member of your team.
[Since the person wrecking shit on the rig probably shouldn't also be their team support, due to the risk of getting caught. Anything he knows he can relay to someone that goes on the mission.]
All right, then. Can I ask you to work up some scenarios for me? I was told you're good at that, probabilities, assessment, that kinda thing. I'm more into improv, but in my own world I like - know what's likely, what's improbable, and what means I should just go the fuck home and retire, you know? Here, I dunno how good my instinct are.
Affirmative. I can provide you such tactical info. Risk assessment and predictions of both negative outcomes and potential ways to thwart them if the combat situation risks reaching a negative outcome are things I provide the leader of my team back home.
[He cares about that here just like he did back home.]
[People getting home safe.]
I can also provide you remote tactical support during the mission itself, through a secure link on our comms. Programming isn't my specialty but I'm competent enough at it. I've prodded at this Lonestar's programming enough to feel it's secure.
[By prodding at he means "created it."]
That said, it is fairly advanced. Whoever created it does seem to have slightly more skill than myself.
[Saturday doesn't bat an eye at this bald-faced lie. She has her suspicions, but they're only relevant if she needs to get in touch with 'Lonestar.' The friend-of routine will do, if it comes to that]
That's what I need - it was never my thing, back home. And having someone else on overwatch frees me up to troubleshoot. It's a good idea.

I would be amenable.

[She stretches] Just gotta set the date, now.

When you do, I'll be there.
I have...a time-sensitive justification for wanting to escape this place as soon as possible.

Hook me up with those tactical assessments soon as you can, okay?

I'll get to work right away.
[As in like...now.]
Until then, take care.
