[ Adora flashes a smile at her little communicator screen. There's something incredibly gratifying about seeing Catra happy that she never gets tired of. ]

We're on the Top Deck. I was hanging out under the lip, but came up when Catra wanted to drop by.

C'mon by, if you like.

[Tenten certainly doesn't see a reason why Adora shouldn't come out. And it'll be a good test of the new trio's chemistry. In a different way than usual, that is.]

[ Catra lets loose a happy deep-throated purr. ]

See you soon, Adora~!

[ She adds a familiar sing-song lilt to Adora's name and then hangs up the communicator. Half-draped on Tenten, she seems quite happy to stay where she is. ]

That went pretty good.

Yeah.

[If the reply seems a little distant, with Tenten absently scritching Catra's belly, it's because she's still turning events over in her head.

Girlfriend.

She'd never really thought about romance until she started feeling oddly about Catra and now, months later, she's got a girlfriend.

Catra is her girlfriend.

Now there was just one obstacle to her happiness.

Oh God, I have no idea what girlfriends do besides kiss.]

[ Adora clicks the communicator off and pretty soon she's on her way back up. She has her jacket on over her jumpsuit and so when she clambers into view, she's pretty noticeable. She raises her hand in a wave and immediately drops in to join the two of them on Catra's other side, bumping shoulders with her and flashing Tenten a little smile. She seems... less stressed than she usually does, somehow. ]

Hey - I'm back! Not that... anyone noticed I was gone, but hey.

[heterochrocatic]

[ Catra lifts a hand to greet Adora as she comes into view and her purring grows even louder when she's flanked by both of her (her!!) girls. She leans over towards Adora and plants a kiss on her lips first, all amused tail-flicking and rumbling sounds of contentment. ]

I totally noticed.

[ No she didn't, but she likes being contrary. That done, she turns back towards Tenten--and plants a kiss right on her lips, too. It's not quite as forward as the one for Adora--more gentle, less demanding. Gotta ease Tenten into this, right? ]

...I think this is the best day I've had since I showed up on this shitty rig.

Hey, Adora. Glad you could make-

[Kissing.

That's right. Kissing is a thing that happens.

It just. Takes Tenten a moment to work her mouth back into a talky shape, but even then she's just crimson and silent for a moment before covering her right eye with a hand and making a strangled little noise. It's not pained, but.

Kissing. Girlfriend. Indirect kisses with Adora. Her brain needs time to catch up and it's not happening so far.]

It is a pretty good day, huh?

[ Adora laughs and returns the kiss. She's about to comment further when she notices how Tenten reacts. She shoots her a slightly sheepish, kind smile. ]

I think you should have warned her, Catra.

[heterochrocatic]

Maybe I should have.

[ Catra leans back against Adora a little to let Tenten catch her breath. ]

You okay, Ten?

Aaargh.

Sorry. I'm just still getting used to, like.

[She drags her hand down her face for a moment, sighing.]

I didn't think we'd end up like this. I'd basically given up on anything beyond friendship with Catra after you and her synched timelines and all. And now I'm, uh. Getting my first kiss. In front of her girlfriend. I mean, her other girlfriend. And kind of an indirect kiss from Adora, too. And it's just-

-This is my life now.

[Well. Things could be a lot worse.]

Hey, it's OK-!

[ Adora laughs. ]

Take a minute. Just... breathe, I guess.

[ Her expression is warm and a little fond. ]

Take it at your own pace, you know? You can figure this out.

[ Catra leans back, giving Tenten a little space as she tries to process everything. She's leaning on Adora, lets one hand find Tenten's. If you had told her a year ago that she was going to be happy and surrounded by people she cared about she wouldn't have believed it. ]

Mmhm. No rush. Not like we're going anywhere, right? Fucking Jorgmund.

[She puffs her cheeks out a little, then laughs and shakes her head.]

Well, I'm clear for the rest of the evening, at least. I just have to reschedule "meditation" to "abandon single lifestyle" or something like that.

Speaking of, Jorgmund did at least give me a door that closes and a hot shower for doing that calendar shoot.

Doors... I almost forgot we don't have doors here.

[ Adora sighs. ]

...hot shower sounds great, too, honestly.

So you're telling me my room got a door and a hot shower before yours, Adora?

[ Catra laughs out loud, covering her eyes with one hand as she giggles. As the laughter quiets, she lets out a purr. ]

Dunno why they thought we deserved it. Must have been Setsuna. Point is, you can always come shower in my room.

[ That is a heaping helping of innuendo right there. ]

The doors thing is kinda pervy.

[Just saying.]

You might wanna warn Setsuna if you two plan on using up all the hot water.

I might have to take you up on that. Cold showers are awful...

[ It flies right over her head. This time. ]

And I'm not going to use all of it - just enough of it to clean myself!

[ Adora... ]

How is the door thing pervy? Or do you mean that they have view ports in them or whatever?

[ Then Adora speaks and Catra breaks down into giggles. She leans over toward a Adora, shaking with laughter. ]

You're such an idiot. I love you.

[ That said, she plants a lingering kiss on Adora's lips. ]

I meant more the lack of doors. Watching people while they sleep is just... bleh. But the viewports aren't cool, either. I already got yelled at for putting paper over mine.

[Maybe she'll just jam it shut and file a maintenance report.

There's a slight smile at their antics. Man, they really were comfortable around each other. She's not used to seeing Catra quite like this. Unguarded and relaxed. It's cute. But saying that right now feels like it's just begging for attention, so she'll just sit on that observation for a bit.]

[ Adora starts to laugh and then she's kissed. She takes a moment and then breaks away, shooting Tenten a little smile and a shrug. ]

I don't understand why they want to watch us all the time. Even the Horde wasn't that worried about observing us every waking moment. They're obsessed.

Having a door again is nice, even with the stupid window they can open in it.

[ Catra's tail flicks out and brushes along Tenten's arm, almost affectionate. If it's intentional, anyway. She nuzzles at Adora again for a moment, then pushes herself away and sprawls over to drop her head into Tenten's lap. She's draped over both girls now, full of lazy contentment. ]

Yeah. They're idiots. Weirdo idiots. You think they'd realize that if they treated us like people they'd have an easier time getting cooperation.

[ Catra has never cooperated a day in her life, that is a lie. ]

The Horde probably wasn't afraid of you. Jorgmund's terrified of us.

I mean, they're not wrong to be. Once you figure out the weaknesses of those gun things, the only thing keeping us from a hostile takeover is the zaps.

[Tenten reaches down, stroking Catra's hair. This is fine. This is gonna be normal. She's not gonna wake up disappointed. It's all good.]

At least now I can relax a bit while I sleep. This past while's been rough. I can't keep my transformation up while I'm asleep and I've been having to wake up whenever someone walks by my room.

I know that feeling...

[ Adora kinda half-laughs as she leans over to pat Tenten on the shoulder. ]

When I got to Brightmoon I slept with a knife under my pillow for a long time.

You still kept that knife under your pillow?

[ Catra seems surprised by the revelation, but her attention settles more fully on Tenten. She peers up at her, head tilting. ]

Why do you need to keep your transformation up?

[What? Knives were cute.

...Ah. She said too much. She reaches up with a hand, glancing away and rubbing the back of her neck.]

I, uh. Remember when Jorgmund said I wasn't worth the medical resources? Some things never really healed right after Rose Tattoo. Closer none of it. But I don't want people treating me with... Pity or anything like that. So I've been using a, uh. A ninja technique to hide the damage.
