Yeah...I don't know the timing or anything, as far as that goes, but the Director created the Alpha AI off of an imprint of his own brain. Thing is, he had someone he had loved in his past that he was so obsessed with, or her memory, at least, that when they created Alpha, the memory got thrown off as another AI. That was Beta, or as we eventually came to know her...Tex.
