I trust your judgement on this.

[Price replies sarcastically. Well, passive aggressively, he doesn't really have a proper understanding of humour. Call that one of the many ways he is special, or terrifying, depending on how you feel about him.]

You slept with the Alpha, that couldn't possibly have been easy to deal with.

What I am trying to say is that based on the data I have gathered about the Alpha and the time I spent with the Director, I am not questioning your advice regarding everyday habits that can help avoid conflict.

It was this skill of yours that made so that you were assigned the role of simulation trooper rather than freelancer agent.

[Is it an insult? Is it a compliment? A bit of both, but it's mostly a factual statement. Price feels surprisingly chill and neutral regarding most topics.]

Also, I am aware that the Alpha could be quite difficult to deal with although I didn't get to interact with him outside of a purely professional context.

[Which is a shame, by the way. Alpha was a loner, yes, but he was just a tiny bit less reserved than the Director and well, that could have been an occasion to find out more about him.

Tucker seems to have such a close bond with 'Church'...Price is a little jealous, he wishes he and the Director were friends especially because the compatibility was undeniable. It was an odd one, though. Wasted potential, perhaps, and so unique in its way of skipping all the nice things to go directly to an intimate act such as torture. Yet it always ended there, even if he got to glance and even play with the Director's darkest side.

If only because of pride or will to have someone to court, Price likes to think that it was the equivalent of having a one night stand so good that you keep coming back, so good that it overweighed whatever they both had experienced with past partners to the point of making the Director feel shame and that was why he deliberately made effort to avoid Price and not even remember his name.

After all, Price had been living with the Director for an at least equal amount of time compared to Allison, with the difference that one of them was present, devoted to him, and paying attention to his daughter. That someone was Price and not Allison, but no one will ever be ready for that conversation...]

Alright.

[He stays silent for a bit.]

By the way it's nice to hear you and...Church had such bond.

[The Director has never defended him or even praised his efforts.]
