Thanks. I think there's a few I can't see. I had my arms up when it happened.

[ North looks at York awkwardly perched there and motions toward himself. ]

Come on, sit down.

[infailtration]

[ York huffs at himself a little then sinks down to sit properly and keeps working. His touch is incredibly gentle, trying not to disturb the little spots of hurt. ]

There's a couple on the back of this one. I'll get 'em all, don't worry.

So did you kick its ass?

[bothbarrels]

[ North breathes out a little chuckle, letting his head droop back against the wall. ]

I'd like to say yes, but I mostly just stood there and blocked the way so it wouldn't get out of the room. Actually, there was a teenage girl there, I think she said her name was Cure Passion? She did most of the work. But Remy's explosion ability definitely helped too.

[ York's touch is, indeed, incredibly gentle. There's just a few spots on his torso that make him wince slightly, despite how careful York's being. From what he'd noticed earlier, they were the largest splatters. ]

[infailtration]

Let's call that a general 'you' and say yes, you guys kicked its ass.

[ York finishes up dabbing the ointment on and caps the tube. ]

There. You should probably hang out shirtless for a little while or that'll make a mess.

[bothbarrels]

[ He grins. ]

I'll take credit like that, then, sure.

[ He glances down at his torso after that. ]

I probably will. Probably going to get to sleep soon. This has been a bitch of a day.

[infailtration]

[ York nods, thinking about offering to stay but he's not even a little tired and might keep North up just by being there. He doesn't move just yet, but he'll leave when the other soldier wants to crash. ]

Yeah, get some rest. Want me to scoot so you can lie down?

[bothbarrels]

Not yet.

[ North yawns, though, after saying this. ]

I'll settle in after this stuff dries up a little.

[infailtration]

...North, you're exhausted. Just lie on your good side.

[bothbarrels]

[ North smiles at York. ]

South's outside, you know. I think she's waiting on you to leave.

[ Which is about the same as saying please leave, York in this situation, as kindly as he can say it. ]

I'll be fine.

[infailtration]

Okay.

[ York stands easily, even though there's the temptation to stay to talk to D and harass South a bit -- this isn't the time. ]

Get some rest, though, let me know how you're feeling.

[bothbarrels]

I will. Don't worry about me.

[ He says this as if he hadn't just gone unarmed into a confrontation with a supernatural enemy, as if he hadn't just risked his life. To him it's an everyday affair. ]

[infailtration]

I'm allowed to worry about whoeverr I want.

[ That's what happens when you care about somebody, North. But York will go. He heads for the door, seeing South in fact waiting outside. ]

[bothbarrels]

[ North chuckles at that and gives him a little wave. ]

Fine, fine. But I'm okay.

[infailtration]

You got lucky, man.

[ It's the closest he's gotten to scolding North for going in unprepared, and it's still a gentle scold. He lifts a hand to wave back. ]

I'll see you.

[ And then he's gone. ]
